Stuart Bathurst supported the Fairtrade Fortnight campaign of 2014 from February 24th through to the 9th March. This year’s campaign was to “Stick with Foncho”, the campaign highlights the issue that the cost of the banana has halved, whereas the price of production has doubled. Foncho is leaving his Banana farm in Columbia to speak to Vince Cable (Business MP), to investigate unfair supermarket prices here in the UK. Stuart Bathurst raised awareness to their Key Stage 3 students, that producers need to receive a fair price in order to lead a healthy lifestyle. Students wore stickers to support Foncho, understanding the concept of fairtrade in catholic values lessons and a member of the Stuart Bathurst team is dressed as a Banana!
