Calculator

Two thirds of your exam is calculator based. You need to have access to a calculator for your lessons so you can learn the materials needed for your exams. Your maths teacher also needs to be able to teach you how to use YOUR calculator, so this is not a barrier in the exam. Recommended calculators are below.

How To Revise For Maths

Revising for Maths can be overwhelming. It is always important to focus on maximising your marks by building on what you already know. After each LRW you will receive a QLA from your teacher. This will tell you which topics are your strengths and weaknesses. Those topics that you scored some marks on, but not all, should be your focus of revision. Securing these will gain you the most marks in an exam.

Methods of revision:

  • Watch videos and tutorials
  • Use video and tutorials to make flash cards
  • Practice exam questions on these topics
