How Employers Can Get Involved

There are many flexible ways for employers to support our students:

In School

Employers can take part in:

• Careers talks or presentations
• Assemblies during National Careers Week or National Apprenticeship Week
• Mock interviews
• CV workshops
• Skills or employability sessions
• Classroom Q&A sessions linked to curriculum topics
• Careers fairs or pathway events
• Apprentice or graduate talks from your organisation

These activities help students understand expectations, career routes and workplace behaviours.

In the Workplace

Employers can also offer:

• Work experience placements (Year 10 or Year 12)
• Workplace visits or tours
• Job shadowing opportunities
• Industry-based projects or problem-solving challenges
• Supported internships or taster sessions (ideal for SEND learners)
