Catholic Values (PSHE)
The aim of the PSHE and Citizenship programme at Stuart Bathurst is to enable and encourage our all of our pupils to acquire the skills, understanding and key knowledge they need to thrive as individuals in all aspects of their life and to become active and responsible citizens who contribute to our society. At the centre of all that we do as a faith community, is the understanding that each human person is made in the image and likeness of God. Our curriculum therefore, underpins the Catholic ethos and Mission of the School and is a catalyst for the School’s principle role of teaching our pupils to grow and flourish as responsible individuals in our society.
National Events that the school will highlight and observe over the year include;
- Anti- Bullying week
- Safer Internet Day: importance of E-Safety/ staying safe online
- Children’s Mental Health Week
- Holocaust Memorial Day
- Remembrance Day
- National Careers Week
The combination of the Catholic Values programme, themed days and assemblies that are both current and relevant helps to ensure that at Stuart Bathurst we educate the whole child.
